Cleaning Cousins

We celebrated Easter with my dad the Saturday before. The kids spent a TON of time in papa's garage...cleaning it!!! Dad found a broom for all three of them and they went to town. I think they were in there for over an hour and his garage floor was spotless. I told the kids that they could clean out our garage this summer. It just isn't the same!

Easter

These are just a few pictures from Easter. I don't know how many pictures one mom can have of kids finding Easter eggs. The last picture is funny. Madi was eating a chocolate bunny and ended up with chocolate all around her mouth. When you have missing and loose teeth in the front it becomes hard to eat! I feel bad because I never got a picture of the kids together in their nice clothes...all well.

Egg Coloring

We added the vinegar to the color tablets. Madi didn't think it smelled too great!
Ethan holding his first egg to color. He was hilarious because he was sooo nervous. He kept asking if they were fake eggs and wouldn't break. I was having a hard time getting it through that the eggs were real, just hard boiled so they wouldn't make a mess.
Madison writing her name on her egg. One egg said "The Madison".
Ethan excited about the eggs. We dyed eggs at about 2pm and he talked about it almost every minute up until that point. So from about 8am-2pm all we heard was talk about the eggs.
Madison's favorite egg and I have to say it is pretty cute. She had colored it pink to begin with, then put the smiley face on it and put it in blue coloring.

Ethan's egg with a sticker. He put it in yellow, colored on it and then it went into the green.

In my opinion this was the coolest egg. Madi colored on it twice and dipped it into three different colors. It really turned out neat!

Mama's eggs. These are eggs that are still raw that I needed for the weekend. I decided to color them because I have a hard time watching the kids color eggs and not join in. How pretty!

It's been a while...

The kids wanted their pictures taken with their palms from church on Sunday.
Madison lost another tooth!

Madi, relaxing and watching a movie. We went and rented that stupid Chihuahua movie, but she really liked it so I guess it was worth it.
My cute little E-man

Madison wanted me to take this picture, but you can't see her drawing, it's a great picture of her though!

Ethan (barely) loaded in the car with all our pop cans and goodwill items!

Ethan with his jungle. I organized and cleaned both of the kids' rooms. For Ethan's room, I took pictures of his toys and then taped those pictures to the containers where the toys belong. This way he knows FOR SURE where things should be put. I also took a picture of what his bookshelves should look like. Somehow the books always end up a mess and spilling all over the floor! He really liked the way his room looked so it was worth the time.

Everything has been going well for us. Monday-Wednesday are pretty hectic and the nights fly by. Monday and Wednesday the kids have swimming. This is the first session that the kids swim at different times. Not only that, but we go a little later so we're not home until after 6pm. Nick has been great on those nights. I try to have a meal that Nick can prepare and then we can eat as soon as we get home. Tuesday (when the weather lets us) we have soccer practice at 6pm so it's eat fast and then head out. I don't know how parents, that have their kids in a ton of activities do it!!
We, mainly Madison and I, are looking forward to school being out. I can't wait to have both kids at home with me all day! I'm sure I'll be sooo ready for school to start again, but for now, I'm ready for summer. Ethan is enrolled for Pre-K at St. John's next year, Madi will be in 1st grade and Brooke will be a sophomore. Time sure does fly by!
