Welcome Gabriel

We would like to welcome our newest nephew, Gabriel Severin Lackey to our family. He was born March 17, 2007, weighed 9lbs. 2ozs. and was 21" long. He is absolutely perfect!! We went to see him today and he's such a sweetie!! Our sister Valerie is doing well, she didn't get much sleep at first, but rested well last night.

Stiches...AGAIN!

Well, this past Thursday Ethan had to get stitches again. He was so excited about getting his vitamin that he ran off and couldn't get stopped. He kind of fell and hit his mouth really hard on our end table. When he fell, he must have bit his lower lip by the corner. I called the pediatricians office and told them I was on my way. We got there and they said he would need a couple of stitches, but that they wouldn't do it because it was on his face. So we were sent to a plastic surgeons office to have him taken care of. Ethan had two dissolveable stitches put in and was such a brave little man.

The next day I called our doctor because I thought his lip looked infected. They said they would call in an antibiotic for us. So, as of today both of the stitches are gone now and his lip looks pretty good. It could have been a lot worse...he could have lost some teeth too!!

And the Winner Is...

Ethan Wemhoff. Yes, Ethan won the cutest kid contest. We were excited when we found out. On the same day Madi's teacher told us how much fun she is to have in class. It's said that laughter is contagious. Well, Madi was making the music teacher and her teacher laugh because she was giggling so hard. Madi is doing really well learning how to recognize and write all the letters. She'll say a word and ask what letter it starts with. That is one of her favorite things to do before school right now.

This past weekend was really nice. We stayed around the house mostly and took it easy. It's so nice when the whole weekend isn't booked and we can take a little time with just our family. It was so nice to see the sun today and see all the snow melting. I think we are in for a nice weekend, but I heard the farmer's almanac has predicted one more snow. I hope it doesn't get too cold again the flowers are starting to come up! Nick is going to get the propane tank filled and it's time to start grilling out again!! We're pretty excited!!

Listen Up!

Well I took Ethan in to have his ears checked and they were PERFECT!!! We are very excited that we didn't have to get his ears drained or deal with any other procedures. I'm sure he's very happy that his ears feel good. The picture to the left is one of three that were submitted for a contest. We are still waiting to see if he wins. Even if he doesn't we still think we have a cutie! I've been going through his birth pictures so I can start on his scrapbook and I can't believe how big he is now. It's probably not good for me to look at baby pictures, it makes me want to have another one!
